    An examination of the policy of neither confirming nor denying the presence of nuclear weapons on any military station, ship, vehicle or aircraft, or whether any ship is nuclear powered.

    Introduction to Securing Our Future Seminar

    Introduction and Chapter 16 - This Earth is Precious, People-Centred Sustainable Development versus the unsustainable Growth Paradigm

  • A Cry from the Heart - 2
    Epilogue and Appendix

    both books are from an unpublished 16 chapter work. Later this was much reduced and published as Five Holocaust.

  • Five Holocausts
    A detailed analysis of the problems the world faces in militarism, human oppression, economic destitution, the population explosion, and environmental destruction.

  • An Obstacle Course
    This is Derek's contribution in the book Overcoming Violence in Aotearoa New Zealand published in 2002 by Philip Garside Publishing Ltd. In this article, Derek advocates a fundamentally different kind of world order and documents the hurdles to be overcome.

  • Where on Earth are We Going?
    The text of a speech given by Derek that summarises his views on current world peace and environment dilemmas.


Currently, Derek is working on a new book, The Golden Mile, (working title) which is a photographic record, with accompanying text, of 25 years of recent changes to buildings along Wellington's Willis St and Lambton Quay.
